MY STORY

My journey into electronic music began after receiving a copy of Ableton Live for Christmas in 2012. From that moment on, I was captivated by the endless possibilities of music creation. Between 2012 and 2015, I dedicated myself to mastering the ins and outs of Ableton Live, laying a solid foundation for my future in music production.

My formal education in audio engineering began in 2015 at JMC Academy, where I earned a Bachelor of Audio Engineering by 2017. It was during this period that I discovered Psytrance, a genre that resonated deeply with me. By 2016, I had committed to producing Psytrance exclusively under the alias "Galactic Project," and my work began gaining recognition in the electronic music community.

In 2020, my efforts paid off as I signed multiple tracks to notable record labels such as Redux Recordings. This success inspired me to broaden my horizons, and by 2021, I began exploring other genres and honing my sound design skills. This exploration led to the launch of a new musical project under my own name, Jordan Chiminello, with a focus on dark, Melbourne inspired Techno. It culminated in the release of my first signed Techno track, "Blackout."

Alongside my journey in music production, I have also dedicated myself to developing my DJing skills. I started with a small Pioneer DDJ-SB controller, where I learned the basics of mixing and live performance. As my skills and confidence grew, I invested in more advanced equipment, eventually acquiring and mastering Pioneer’s flagship Nexus DJ setup. This progression has allowed me to refine my technique and deliver high-energy performances that captivate audiences. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, my goal is to create immersive musical experiences.
